Our Ingredients
We keep things simple by starting with simple ingredients.
Every element is chosen as close to nature as possible. This means avoiding over-processed and adulterated foods. As we grow, it is our vision to grow closer to the people and places that produce our raw materials. Here are all of our ingredients and some of the stories behind them.

Organic Caffeine from Green Coffee
Our caffeine comes to us from organic, green robusta coffee beans that have gone through a chemical-free, steam extraction. Green coffee beans are the same beans that you'll find at your local coffee shop, but they haven't gone through the roasting process. These beans have higher concentrations of caffeine and antioxidants than their roasted counterparts and lack the traditional coffee taste. The end result is the same natural caffeine as coffee but without the coffee flavor.

Dry Roasted Peanuts
We use only dry-roasted peanuts in our snack meaning they are never treated with additional oils. This makes for a rich peanut taste that's clean and pure. At 25% protein by weight, peanuts are also a good source of plant protein. It's believed that peanuts were being cultivated in South America as early as 3,500 years ago. Some ancient Inca graves contain jars of peanuts believed to provide sustenance and energy to travelers in the afterlife.

Organic Dry Roasted Almonds
Dry-roasted almonds bring a delicate taste and sweet aroma to each of our almond coconut bites. Our organic almonds are sourced from Italy where they bask in an abundance of Mediterranean sun. Naturally high with protein, fiber, unsaturated fat, vitamin E, and calcium, almonds are an incredible addition to any healthy diet.

Organic Dates
Dates are a great source of energy, fiber, and vitamins, all while being a low-glycemic food. Our organic dates are grown on a family farm in the Coachella valley of California. The Coachella Valley is home to America's premier date gardens as well as the popular music festival in it's namesake. Our organic dates are prepared for consumption through a deep freezing process as opposed to conventional dates which are fumigated with pesticides.

Organic Toasted Coconut
Toasted coconut flakes add depth and a tropical flare to our almond and coconut bite. Roasting brings out a full-bodied flavor from the meat of the coconut and helps to balance out the natural sweetness from the honey and dates. Coconuts are naturally rich in good saturated fats that provide your brain and body with sustained energy and can help maintain good cholesterol.

Organic Dark Chocolate Chips
Our organic dark chocolate contains 48% cocoa solids for a perfect blend of sweetness and hint of bitter tannins. People have been using cacao beans (the raw form of cocoa) for thousands of years because of its energetic properties. Modern science has shown it to have positive effects on energy, mood, and even libido.

Organic Honey
Our organic honey is harvested through a network of independent beekeepers on the perimeter of the Brazilian rainforest. The bees thrive on the variety of flora found in the forests and the plants benefit from their pollination. The health of these hives are directly linked to the health of their surrounding rainforest and give the beekeepers a direct incentive to maintain it. Organic honey is almost impossible to find in the USA due to the vast distance bees can cover from the hive. This creates complications in certifying a hive because of the abundance of non-organic agriculture that surround the hives in the US.

Vanilla Bean Extract
The majority of the flavor in a vanilla bean comes from the oils in the bean. We incorporate these oils into our snack bar via a non-alcoholic extract. This delectable and funny looking bean grows in tropical climates on a vine known as the vanilla orchard. It was believed that a vanilla bean's only value was as a scent until the early 1500's when it was discovered to usable as a flavor. Ever since, it's been prized around the world for it's unique profile in food and people often try to copy and counterfeit the flavor to avoid its steep price.

Pink Himalayan Salt
With over 80 trace minerals, pink Himalayan salt contains one of the widest ranges of electrolytes found in nature. In addition to sodium and chloride, these minerals can help keep your nervous system running smoothly and help you stay hydrated. These salts are found in large deposits at the base of the Himalayan Mountain Range.

Sea Salt
We use natural sea salt because it contains a variety of minerals and electrolytes not normally found in table salt (NaCl). Sea Salts can provide the body with up to 75 minerals and trace elements as opposed to 2 in table salt. These electrolytes can help prevent dehydration and are critical for nervous system function.
